Pay: $33 – $37 per hour

Job Type: Full-time

Position Summary:

The Licensed Counselor works as an embedded member of the primary care team, providing brief behavioral health interventions. This fast-paced clinic role focuses on same-day consultations, rapid assessments, and seamless collaboration with medical providers to address patients’ mental health and substance use concerns. The position emphasizes short-term, evidence-based interventions and care coordination rather than the traditional therapy session, while incorporating culturally responsive care that honors Indigenous values and practices.

Education and Experience: 

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or a related field required.
  • Current licensure as Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) , Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Clinical Psychologist (PhD/PsyD) in the State of Montana (licensure candidates may be considered on a case by case basis)
  • Current BLS certification or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire.
  • Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) preferred.

Position Summary:

The Integrated Behavioral Health Care Manager (IBHCM) is a key member of BNWC’s interdisciplinary, integrated care team and plays a critical role in delivering whole-person, patient-centered care. The IBHCM provides real-time support to patients during visits through warm handoffs and brief, evidence-based interventions. In close collaboration with medical providers, behavioral health clinicians, and support staff, the IBHCM coordinates care, identifies barriers, and facilitates timely interventions that improve health outcomes, access to care, and patient experience.

Education & Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Sociology, or a related field preferred, OR
  • Associate’s degree in Social Services, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field and at least 3 years of experience as an Integrated Behavioral Health Care Manager.
  • Experience with screening for common mental health and/or substance abuse disorders.
  • Working knowledge of differential diagnosis of common mental health and/or substance use disorders and related screening tools.
  • Working knowledge of evidence-based psychosocial treatments and brief behavioral interventions for common mental health disorders, when appropriate.
  • Experience with EMR preferred.
  • Experience in integrated care preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

IHS Loan Repayment Program

Butte Native Wellness Center offers the IHS Loan Repayment Program (LRP), which assists dedicated health professionals in establishing a long-term and successful healthcare career. This program offers funding to IHS clinicians for repaying their eligible health profession education loans, with up to $50,000 available in exchange for an initial two-year service commitment at health facilities serving American Indian and Alaska Native communities. Participants can extend their contracts annually until their qualified student debt is fully repaid.
